What is it about? đź‘€
We are excited to announce an important update for our German-speaking Purple Hub users. We will roll out a change that standardizes and unifies German-language labels within the Purple Hub. Until now, a few “Denglisch” issues crept in, causing some buttons and interface elements to remain in English despite the German language setting. These inconsistencies will be fixed to provide a clear and consistent user experience.
How to use it
- Keep working as usual: You don’t need to take any special action—simply log in as normal.
- Familiarize yourself with new labels: Some of the buttons and options will have updated German-language labels. We recommend sharing this information with your team to avoid confusion on launch day.
Examples
One example is the Planning functionality. Here the interface to plan a new article used to look like this:
There were a couple of elements in English. These are cleaned-up. This is what it looks like now:
Another example is the workflow functionality in the Hub. This was mostly in English:
Now everything is properly translated, as can be seen here:
Benefits 🤓
- Consistent appearance: A fully unified German interface creates a more streamlined look and feel.
- Improved clarity: Eliminating “Denglisch” elements helps avoid misunderstandings and reduces friction during daily workflows.
- Easier onboarding: Having labels in proper German makes it simpler for new team members to learn the system.
Key facts 🔑
- Implementation date: The update will be applied on Monday, January 20, 2025, for all users at once.
- Scope: Only the German version of the Purple Hub is affected.
