We are introducing a new user role: Hub Editor. This role is designed for team members who mainly work in the Purple Hub and do not need editing permissions in Purple Manager. In the past, users of the Purple Hub could only be created as App Admins in the Purple Manager, even if they did not need to have this role. This role is ideal for users who focus on creating and managing content in Purple Hub, without needing broader permissions in Purple Manager to customise the app's settings.
Purple SSO allows users to access the Purple Platform without remembering separate login data. Your team can now enjoy a simplified and unified experience across the Purple platform by using their existing corporate credentials. Purple SSO (Single Sign-On) integrated with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) is now available and enables seamless authentication with your corporate identity provider.
Managing multiple usernames and passwords can be cumbersome and introduces security risks. Purple SSO simplifies the login process by allowing users to access the platform using their familiar company credentials. This centralized authentication method improves security by giving your organization full control over login policies while reducing the risk of password fatigue. Moreover, with Microsoft Entra ID integration, onboarding and offboarding users is effortless, as access can be managed directly through your existing identity management tools.
As a further step in improving the Purple Importer, we have adjusted some design elements of the Purple Monitoring Server UI to give you an enhanced user experience when monitoring your imports. Those actions are one of many upcoming improvements to ensure a smooth and user-friendly import flow for your e-papers.
New buttons
The interface contains new Re-import and Download buttons for improved usability - both functions remain the same.
New feature: Import information
From now on, you will find a new button, "Information", in the UI. Clicking on it opens a new tab displaying the import configuration. This new feature allows you to check whether all configurations are correct.
Warning dialogue in case of an import-error
If an error occurs during the import workflow, a warning symbol appears. Clicking on the symbol opens a tab with a detailed error description.
The new 'Now-Next-Later' Purple Roadmap Page provides a clear overview and facilitates better planning and prioritization of upcoming features on our publishing platform. Unlike traditional timeline roadmaps that impose strict deadlines, the Now-Next-Later format focuses on flexibility and responsiveness to your needs as a customer and business opportunities.
Our roadmap feature allows you to upvote, comment and track upcoming items, fostering a collaborative environment where your feedback directly influences product development. This participatory approach ensures that the final product is closely aligned with market needs and your expectations as a Purple Customer.
Flexibility in Product Development
The roadmap is divided into five stages - Under Conisderation, Later, Next, Now, Done - allowing our product team to focus on immediate tasks while staying adaptable to future changes. By avoiding the rigidity of fixed deadlines, we can remain agile and responsive to market trends and changes, providing you with the features most relevant to your business success today.
Enhanced Decision-Making
The new roadmap aids in making more impactful decisions by keeping an eye on your needs and enabling you to take part in the decision-making process on which features are the most impactful for you as our customers.
The Purple Publish Status Page monitors Purple systems, quickly identifying operational issues and ensuring ongoing communication on resolution. By subscribing, you receive system alerts, updates, resolution status and final incident reports when a system failure is detected.
Subscribe on the Purple Publish Status Page to receive notifications via email or SMS about system issues, including updates on resolution and final reports. The alerts keep you informed without needing to report incidents yourself.
If the Purple Platform has operational issues, a Status Widget will appear on the Purple Support Helpdesk, alerting you to errors and linking to the detailed Purple Publish Status Page.
The Purple Publish Status Page informs you with real-time updates and automated alerts, so you donβt have to monitor system statuses or report issues. Using the system alerts ensures that you focus on your work and know that any problems are being promptly addressed.
To increase the security of your access to the Purple platform, we have developed a Multi-factor authentication (MFA) mechanism. By enabling this feature, you must confirm your identity using a second device (like your smartphone) when logging in to the Purple platform to prevent misuse of your credentials. In addition, if you want to make MFA mandatory for your entire team, Purple Manager provides an option to enforce Multi-factor authentication for all team members.
Multi-factor authentication significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access, even if your password is compromised. It provides an extra layer of security to ensure that only authorised users can access and make changes to your Purple platform. This additional barrier is precious in protecting against potential breaches. Enforcing MFA across your team is a convenient way to ensure all internal users adhere to your security standards.
Introducing a fresh look and feel and streamlining the login process across Purple Editorial, we have completely rebuilt Purple's Single Sign-On. Now you can effortlessly access Purple Manager, Purple Hub and the Purple Content Cloud Explorer with a single login, saving you valuable time. Logging out works in the same way: if you log out of one of the three modules, you'll also be logged out of the other two.
Benefit from a seamless sign-on mechanism across Purple Editorial: By logging in once, you can now access all three Purple modules, saving you time and clicks when using the platform.
